As I began browsing the cereal isle at Target yesterday, I did a double-take at these throw-back, retro boxes from General Mills. I love this idea and wanted to buy them just for the keepsake- but decided against it for clutter-sake. If I were to purchase these, would they be worth something someday? Is General Mills going to keep producing throwback designs? Not sure, but I love them!

Pino on the Behance Network
Pino on the Behance Network
I stumbled upon this website this morning. The reason I enjoy it so much is partly because I envy the design and partly, well mostly because it's sweet. The simplicity of the typeface and the unique color palette get me brainstorming about my own identity as a designer. How often do/can I revamp? Is there a limit? Does it matter until I get to a certain level? ....Revamp. I do what I want.

This is my newest, favorite website and design merch. It's completely my choice style of design and the clean, elegant display is perfect. Now all I have to do is visit my local Paper Source and buy some of these wonderful cards!

Ann Patchett Pen Pal Author Series

I just attended the Library Foundation's Pen Pal Author Series with novelist Ann Patchett. She was wonderful to listen to and funny to boot! I've honestly never read any of her novels but hearing her speak about the fact that she writes what she doesn't know- she researches what is needed to make a good story- makes me respect her work and want to read some of her novels. I found out a lot about a novelists' life, how much money they really make, ( which was interesting ) and had a blast at my first Pen Pal lecture. Now- should I read Run or Bel Canto first?

Wrapping Paper
I'm in love with this design of wrapping paper. It's so simple and edgy at the same time. Kudos and I hope the designer does well at the competition.
